Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups self-rising flour

Method

  1. Prepare the Oven and Pan

Preheat your oven to 360°F (180°C). Grease a 9-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper. Set the prepared pan aside.
  2. Mash the Bananas

Place the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl. Using a fork or potato masher, mash the bananas until they are mostly smooth.
A few small banana pieces are perfectly fine and can add extra texture to the finished loaf.
  3. Make the Batter

Add the sweetened condensed milk and self-rising flour to the mashed bananas.
Gently mix everything together until thoroughly combined and you have a smooth, thick batter. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Fill the Loaf Pan

Pour the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth the top evenly.
  5. Bake

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 45–50 minutes.
To check if it's ready, insert a toothpick into the center of the loaf. If it comes out clean or with only a few moist crumbs, the banana bread is done.
  6. Cool Before Slicing

Remove the banana bread from the oven and allow it to cool completely before slicing.
Cooling helps the loaf set properly and makes it easier to cut into neat slices.
